Fox in Moonlight Enamel, Copper and 24kt Gold Leaf Wall Hanging

This is one of my favourites. The enigmatic fox.

Handmade from sheet copper and vitreous enamel - and the moon is 24 karat gold leaf - hence the incredible colour.

The copper sheet itself is 6x7" and the box frame, which has a glass front and is double-mounted (there is no glass in this photo to avoid the reflection), is 40x40cms.

With all my enamel pieces the colour can change somewhat from what you see here; sometimes the colours are more affected by the copper oxides than others (particularly transparent blues and opaque whites), but this variation in colour and the resulting texture it creates is one of the things that makes every piece unique.
